Nancy Tillman has been praised time and time again by parents and critics alike for coming up with just the right way to let children know how special they are. Tender and sweet, sentimental without a trace of sap, On the Night You Were Born is the book that families in households across America reach for to share with their loved ones at the end of each and every day. Happily, Nancy is back with another picture book that is every bit as glorious as her New York Times bestseller. This time, her artwork brings to life Eric Metaxas' tender lullaby that celebrates the wonders of the natural world and the bonds of family as animals everywhere settle down for the night. It’s as comforting and warm as a goodnight hug! (Ages 2-4)

This book has stunning watercolor illustrations that evoke dramatic locations and filled with intriguing animals. This is the kind of book both children and adults will treasure through the years and to keep in a collection.

This book, like "On the Night You Were Born" has beautiful illustrations, and lyrical text, but Metaxas' writing is simpler and not as touching as Tillman's. Still a nice goodnight book.

what a lovely way to say goodnight to your child. My daughter and I love this book at bedtime. It's predictable language allows her to help me read it. It's wonderful!

Such a sweet, calming story. The illustrations are wonderful. I read this book to my 2 1/2 year old daughter right before bed time, and she loves it.

This book is perfect for winding down. The pictures and text are very soothing. Not a "fun" book, we only read ours at night/nap, but wonderful when my little one is all wound up to calm her down a bit.
