I've been in love with the Llama Llama series since the first one I read. The rhymes are great and the author has written them so well that the rhythm just flows out of your mouth perfectly as you are reading them to your little one. Or, if you are like me, you show all the adults (and make the read it) when they walk through your door!

My Son Loves Mama!

I was in NYC a few years back when I picked up this book. I though it was absolutely adorable, but thought my son was too old for it (I use to read the David books to him). When my second was born I couldn't wait to get my hands on a copy and we now own all the Llama books and our 21 month old loves it, too! We all take turns -- including my 12 year old -- reading it to the little guy. Right now the favorite is Red Pajama. Every night before bed he signs "chair" and then "book", but it has to be from the Llama series:)

Llama Llama is one of my favorite series!!!!! My kids love it too, so cuddling with this book right before bed is a favorite at our house.

This book will always have a special place in my heart, I think, because I have read it so many times with my son. The rhyming, pictures, and story are so great at capturing both sides of a shopping trip gone wrong. Sometimes I get choked up at the end when it says "Llama llama loves his mama." We got all of Anna Dewdney's books after reading this one, and they still don't quite compare to Llama Llama Mad at Mama.
