This has many things going for it. First of all it is beautiful. The illustrations are bold and match the songs. The format of the book is wonderful as it has the bold illustrations with the words as the main part of the book, then it repeats all the songs with the cords and an inserted illustrations so that you can use it to play and sing from as the cords and words are black on white. Then there are 2 pages about the songs which give some historical information about each song. These songs everyone has heard and are part of our American culture, what a great way to get your child singing and even playing.
