I read this book for the first time and really enjoyed it myself. I bought it for my grandchildren and I like to read them before they do. I highly recommend this book.

I LOVE this story!! Even though it is almost 100 years old, it rings true today! I have a polar bear-Honeybear(actually, he's the only carribean polar bear because he LOVES the carribean!) and I love him so much, he's almost really real!(okay, I've had him for 24 years, and I'm over 40, so....)and I am somewhat still sane. Beautiful story about loving and caring deeply. Maybe this is how children first learn about love, thru their first "stuffed" animals!!

I ordered this book for my grand-daughter.I wanted her to have the story so that we can share it together. I even wrote in the cover that like the rabbit in the story, I bacame real when she loved me. You cant go wrong with this classic story.

A wonderful book

I ordered this book for my 5 year old grandaughter for Christmas. I myself have never read it, although I have heard of it. When I received the book, I decided to read it before giving it to Abby. It was so beautifully illustated and the story itself was a beautiful one. It made me cry. My grandaughter Abby told me her mother read it to her, and it made her cry because her brother Rocco who is 7, has a stuffed animal named Baby Rhino, and he too loves it very much, and never wants to part with it. This story has touched all of us. Very well done!
