Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days, Book Four

Diary of a Wimpy Kid RULES!!! Jeff Kinney took the world by storm with his monumentally popular series, which chronicles middle schooler Greg Heffley’s trials and tribulations as he deals with clueless teachers and parents, homework and chores, so-called friends and one very jerky older brother. Well, this time around, school’s out for the summer, but Greg’s not getting a vacation from the daily fiascos that seem to rule his life—especially when his family takes a vacation! Get ready for lots of laughs as Greg faces the dog days of summer in the drop-dead hilarious fourth installment of the series that rocketed to the #1 spot on the New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestsellers lists! Incredibly entertaining to all ages
March 22, 2010

I originally picked up this book Christmas morning, when another family member received it as a gift. I couldn't put it down! The way it is written is through the eyes of a young boy stuck in the middle of being a "kid" and being a "teen". His perspective on such things as work, money and girls are approached with a whimsical and humorous eye. Jeff Kinney seems to have a great sense of what it's like inside the mind of restless youth that still has it's wonderful innocence. Well done, easy read, no matter if you are young or old!
