My daughter loved to read this book and giving voices and feelings to these characters. In fact, she wants to collect all of Mo Willems books. My six-year-old can express the different characters a whole better than me...so cute.

Fun Beginner Reader...really!

Mo Willems frolics in the world of beginning reader with an ease that belies the difficulty of writing a book for an emergent reader that the reader actually wants to read and which the caretaker actually wants to listen to. Funny for preschoolers and their parents but never crass, repetitive enough to help word recognition and memorization but never boring, simple and simply wonderful Willems.

I love the Elephant and Piggie books because I enjoy the stories as much as my son does! He loves the straight forward stories, I love the hilarious observations of different personalities! (reminds me of my husband and I!)
Of this particular set of three, my personal favorite is Watch me Throw the Ball - so funny!

Fun for all ages

My 3 boys simply love Elephant and Piggie and I love reading them. They all love their facial expressions and the wry humor and the stories are things young children can really relate to. We have fun taking turns reading the books aloud and trying to outdo each other with our expressive interpretations of their outbursts. The whole series is wonderful for teaching emerging readers about the importance of reading with feeling. Who wouldn't love these books?

My girls absolutely love the Piggie & Elephant books written by Mo Willems. They have read them over and over, laughing and giggling every time. They have even taken turns being Piggie and Gerald and acting out parts of these books. They are a must have for any child library, along with the Pigeon books by Mr. Willems. My kids rate these books five stars for fun!
