Twilight

All hail the new Vampire Queen! Stephenie Meyer had her legions of fans thirsting for more long before this dangerously romantic vampire thriller knocked the Harry Potter series right off its coveted spot as the #1 series for children’s books on the New York Times bestseller list! So why all the hype? Twilight is the first book in the heart-pounding saga about an ordinary girl named Bella Swan whose life takes an extraordinary and terrifying turn when she meets Edward Cullen, an impossibly handsome vampire. When he falls in love with her nobody is safe, especially Bella. Now, as the lovers find themselves balanced precariously on the point of a knife—between desire and danger—can Bella survive their love?

now i odne know why so many people like to pick apart a story. I personally dont read a book to critisize it. i read it for the story inside and hope it takes me away from this world and into another. The twilight saga does just that. almost emediately you get hooked on the characters and the storyline. it engulfs you to the point where you feel bellas love for edward and her pain as well. the imary is so well done you feel as if you can picture everytihng hapening around you. I for one didnt think this book was slow at all. i read it in three hours. it was so good once i started i couldnt put it down. i would recomend this to anyone in a heart beat,. its def worth reading....even if you dont like love stories or vampires.

A fairly good basic story but I think it was poorly written as most tools for fiction writing were either ignored or improperly used. (i.e. introducing characters that are never again seen, scenes that stall the story, telling more than showing etc.) Kept reading in the hopes it would improve. I was sadly disappointed. Apparantly, Ms Meyer has a great publicist but a poor editor. Even for preteens, I found this book to be lacking. However, the initial story concept was intriguing.

at first glance, this is just another girly book to read, but once you start reading it, it turns to be a great book! and it is so addictive! Highly recommended.

i have enjoyed all the books and the movies. it is a one of the greatest love story of all time. i really am not a person that can watch the movie and then read the book. i am glad that i have read all the books and i fell in love with the story line time and time again. now by no means would i ever compare one writer to another but since i have read this vampire story i have enjoyed other vampire stories such as the ones by P.C. CAST and her daughter. the twilight sagas are my favorite ones though but i think you will enjoy the other series as well.
